Born in Romania, Angelica Ganea has always been an artistic spirit, attracted to music and poetry. Before making her way to Canada at the age of 24, she was a child performer and rising star in the Romanian artistic world, active in both, pop and music theatre. In a world where art is often eclipsed by commercialism, Angelica remained faithful to her mission: to bring authentic beauty to people's souls. Once in Canada, persistence and self-discipline have been her closest companions over the next 3 decades, as she embarked on a journey of healing her heart and re-discovering her passion for music and writing. Angelica graduated from Fitness at Seneca College in Toronto, and worked in the wellness field for over a decade. In parallel, she continued her artistic journey; releasing music and writing books that reflect her sensitivity and inner depth. Her path was not easy. She had to make her mark in an industry where success does not only come from talent but also from perseverance. However, Angelica carved out a place for herself, through the strength of her voice and heart. Despite her success, she remains a modest presence, almost shy in the face of praise, but grand in front of the stage.

When in 2019 she was asked to do a talk about her life journey, Angelica put together a one-woman show titled The Story Behind My Song. In this storytelling & song show, Angelica takes her audiences with wit, humor and candour on a fascinating ride, ending with a powerful, unexpected message. "You shared with us a fascinating life journey and managed to redefine success for us all.", said Doreen Scott-Dunne, Program Director at Central Peel Mixed Probus Group of Canada. Five years later, Angelica's The Story Behind My Song one-woman show is still receiving praises for its emotional impact and her stunning vocal performances.

Angelica is the recipient of the Award of Excellence from Canpak Chamber of Commerce Canada for breaking cultural barriers through singing. In 2003 she started writing music, and in 2010 she released her first original English album titled Remember Who You Are. The album was accompanied by a book of short stories describing her thoughts behind each song on the CD. Ahead of its time, this inspiring work concludes with one main thought: we are love. Due to its spiritual messages and unusual symphonic arrangements —not common in a pop album at the time— Remember Who You Are did not get Angelica a record deal. But the consistent adversities in the music industry didn’t stop her from continuing to pursue her passion. Remember Who You Are was followed by Classical album Sacred (2015), Christmas (2018), I Believe (2024) and a number of singles. In 2021 Angelica released an international song collaboration titled We Will Overcome, for which she produced the vocals of the 50 participating singers. She is the author of 3 books: Remember Who You Are (Short Stories, 2010), Habits Rule You: One Simple Answer To Achieving Your Nutrition & Fitness Goals (2017) and children's book to be published in 2025, which she also illustrated, titled Love Is Light: Transmute Fear Into Love (also available in Romanian, Iubirea Iti Da Aripi De Lumina). Currently, Angelica is working on releasing her original single Love Is Light (as well as its Romanian version titled Aripi De Lumina), a lushly orchestrated pop/classical song which she wrote and produced, and which is a companion to her upcoming children's book.

Angelica Ganea is more than a singer, composer, or writer. She is a gift to Canada and the Romanian diaspora; a ray of light that connects our hearts through song and written word. In her voice, the diaspora finds its echo, rediscover its longing and hope, because she sings not only in the language that connects us, but also in the one that adopted us. Although she left Romania, her soul remained anchored in the roots that gave her voice. Through her melodies, Angelica becomes a bridge between worlds, a soul that carries with her the memory of Romania and the dream of an existence without borders. Every note she raises is a testament to her love for the roots and the wings she carved for herself. It is time for the world to get to know her, to hear about this earthly angel who reminds us that beauty is not just something we see, but something we feel. Let's talk about her, share her music, let ourselves be touched by the grace she carries. In her voice, we all are home. - Carmen Cristina Oltean (Poet, Toronto, Canada)
